It has been 100 years since I updated this blog. I apologize to all (5) of my readers. Finals happened, then the writing competition (which was successful at least), then I left for Europe.

I spent 10 weeks abroad: 1 week in London living the life and having some touristy fun; 2 weeks in Belfast, Northern Ireland meeting great people and learning more than I really ever wanted to know about the Troubles; and 7 weeks in Dublin, a city I’ve known all my life but only recently fell in love with.

It was one of the best summers of my life. I loved my job working for the High Court, I loved the people I met both Irish and American, and I loved Dublin.  What a fun and not overwhelming metropolitan. I cannot wait to go back.

I’ve been back in NYC about 6 weeks now…adjusting to life as a 2L and attempting (in vain) to find some sort of employment for next year. I will hopefully be back to my old blogging self soon enough, but it has been quite an adjustment being back in the States.  I’ve made some exciting decisions about my future and they seem like they might involve going abroad, so things are looking great.

I’m missing summer…the weather, the fun, the boys but am excited fall is back. New York in the fall is absolutely fabulous.

I see you driving
‘Round town with the girl I love,
And I’m like, haiku.
So I sort of hit a new life low last night.  It is ridiculous anyway, if not a life low haha.  I had just come home from dinner with a friend from LA and decided I wanted to have a little wine, watch a little Entourage, and head to bed.  It had been a longggg week full of library days etc.  I went to wine store next to me, bought a nice bottle of “French Red Wine” (nothing but the best for this bitch), and went back up to my apartment.  I started opening the bottle, but for whatever reason my opener wouldn’t work with the cork and it would just slip through.
After about 10 tries, I was making no progress and decided “F THIS” and brought the bottle of wine back downstairs to the wine store in the hopes that a.) they could return it or b.) open it for me.  The guy who is the assistant there already thinks I am a drunk fool because I frequent that place a lot and he laughed at me and opened it and I embarassedly slipped out the front door and back up to my apartment.  Of course I ran into my roomate as I was en route to the store and she thought it was hilarious.
So yea…life low? Or evidence of me proudly asserting myself? lol.

I love this girl’s outfit. And what I love even more about it is I think I could probably actually wear the exact same thing on the streets of NYC.  I need some tan booties to complete the look, but this outfit is just fabulous.

Something about this just works on this chick.  Stripes and polka dots are supposed to be the worst pairing / such a fashion faux pas and yet here…it really works.

I am absolutely in love with these women’s jackets. I just bought a new Comptoir Fall/Spring jacket that I’m obsessed with.  I am almost refusing to wear my parka in this current NYC freeze because I’m so over it after the winter.
In other news, sorry for the short absence. School got crazy and then I went to Ireland for 10 days. Will post some pics when they’re uploaded.

Absolutely love this photo of Dan Rad that is in this month’s Vogue. I can’t wait to see him in “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying”
Love.

Love.

I’m not really a big fan of the hipster look. But, I absolutely love this man’s jeans/shoe combo.  I have no idea what he looks like otherwise, but I’m in love. haha.
Compliments of the sartorialist.
